The Association was established by Shinagawa City to offer exchange programs between the people Shinagawa City and the people of its sister city and friendship cities, in sectors including culture, sports, education, and economics. We intend to deepen mutual understanding and friendship among these people, and to enhance the international awareness of the people of Shinagawa City, which we hope will contribute to maintaining world peace.
Activities we share with our sister city and friendship cities include: (1) dispatch and acceptance of official delegations and goodwill delegations; (2) dispatch and acceptance of youth for home stays; (3) dispatch youth for language learning, sport exchanges, and projects which promote regional internationalization etc. In addition, the Association offers educational workshops, such as Japanese language classes, English conversational classes, flower arranging and cooking.
