Did you know the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is working to support “Family Communication Days”?
Together with the Council for Promoting Tokyo’s Reform of the Heart, the TMG is acting to promote “a reform within Tokyo’s heart” by having parents and adults responsibly nurture a sense of justice, ethics, and consideration within the children who will be responsible for future generations, as well as passing onto them essential life lessons. One dimension of these activities is the “Family Communication Days” complimentary incentives campaign targeted at families. By presenting complimentary vouchers at shops and facilities approved by the campaign, families can receive discounts and other services.

Families who are Tokyo residents and who are accompanied by children up to the age of 18 years old may use the complimentary vouchers. Services may be received at a wide range of participating shops and facilities, from family restaurants through to cultural attractions such as art galleries, museums, zoos and aquariums, etc. Even leisure facilities such as theme parks, karaoke venues and bowling alleys, etc., may be enjoyed. However, in that the content of services and their dates of availability may vary depending on the individual store or facility, we recommend that the list of cooperating stores and facilities be checked on the Council for Promoting Tokyo’s Reform of the Heart website.

Leaflets with the complimentary vouchers attached may be obtained from the inquiry counters of metropolitan and municipal facilities around Tokyo. Furthermore, the leaflets can also be printed out from the website, with the attached complimentary vouchers being valid until March 31, 2016. As an opportunity to go out together as a family, and as an opportunity for children to enjoy a wide range of experiences, what about utilizing this complimentary incentives campaign?
