The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings are the center of administrative work for Tokyo, Japan's capital city. Various offices from police and fire departments to education are located in the buildings to provide information and necessary materials to visitors and to handle various paperwork and consultations for the citizens of Tokyo. Check the government's website for more information.
The Main Building No.1 is currently the highest building in Tokyo. Visitors may enjoy panoramic views of Tokyo from two observatories on the top floor (45th floor), which are accessible by express elevators. The buildings are beautifully illuminated in the evening and have become one of the most popular tourist spots in Tokyo.
