The Ome City International Friendship Promotion Council was established by Ome City with the aims of developing the activities of international associations, etc., in Ome City, and of enhancing the global awareness of citizens by promoting international exchanges in Ome City toward a global society. The Council consists of 10 representatives of international associations and two academic experts. Council meetings are held around twice a year. Council members exchange views on activity reports of individual groups, event information, and information about support for foreigners.
